Early History
Digitized Church Records for Las Piedras, Puerto Rico; Las Piedras became a town in 1773. It sits east of Juncos and west of Humacao. In addition, you have San Lorenzo, Yabucoa, Canovanos, and Naguabo that also surround it. The first baptism book starts in 1778. Unfortunately, a few books are missing. It is not unusual for this to happen. Therefore, attempt to research a nearby town for their records.
The Baptism, Marriage, or Burial document could be in a nearby village—for example, research Juncos, San Lorenzo, Humacao, and Yabucoa. In addition, search Gurabo and Canovanos. Finally, I would look at the two maps below to determine which areas are the towns to research.
