Lack of Church Books Filmed in Puerto Rico
When there is a lack of records, please search online. You never know what you will find. As I have stated in previous posts, not all the church records were filmed. Unfortunately, Aguada is one of the municipalities. There is a website with a few indexes of transcribed books. Sadly, no dates are provided, which leads me to believe this is a transcription of the indexes. They are primarily for Pardos.
At least there is something to research. If you find a name recognizable, I suggest you make a note in your tree with the information. It does provide the parents’ names and the source(folio) number. This will be very helpful if you ever get to a FamilySearch center and can review the films.
The website where the information is located is Preb.com. There is a significant amount of historical information provided on their website.
I have created a table that includes the links. I will source the website below.
