Puerto Rico Ilustrado – May 20, 1922 Issue year XIII, Num., 638
Hortensia Romaguera Diaz appears in the Puerto Rico Ilustrado, a weekly magazine in Puerto Rico. About 2,227 issues appeared as an insert in El Mundo, a newspaper from 6 March 1910 through 27 December 1952 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. And several more between 1968, July 1970 to December 1970, and February 1973 to April 1973.
This insert included the news of its time and included beautiful photographs of the high society community. You may be able to find specific issues online. Like me, I have seen photos of several distant relatives or individuals connected to my family.
Many of the articles I write, the photos, and the family trees come from these publications. I love old pictures, and this is a fun activity for me. This article is the first I wrote several years ago. As I mostly just put three generations, there are times I may include more. My goal is to continue researching these family trees and add more data. As I want to share the photo with my readers, this is better than nothing. The person in the picture must come to life again.
