Cemetery trip to Old San Juan: In September 2010, I traveled to Puerto Rico and decided to visit this historic cemetery. I took over 600 images. They are not the best pictures, but hopefully, you will find who you are looking for. Sadly, the cemetery is not well kept.
Images
The size of the images totals over 1.5 gigs. Therefore, I have them stored on a Google hard drive. You can view the images there. I will eventually identify the pictures with the image number listed below and see if I can upload them to this site.
Transcriptions of Cemetery Tombstones
I took the photos, and an acquaintance, Priscilla Colon (RIP), transcribed most of them and uploaded the transcriptions to her website. Unfortunately, she passed away, and I can no longer access her website. However, I was able to take screenshots of the site before it was taken down. As a result, I haven’t been able to link her numbers with my photos yet. She transcribed what she could, but unfortunately, about 75 were not accounted for due to some of the images not being clear enough.
You’ll need to go through the photos (I’ve provided a link to the photos stored in my Google Drive). Once I can re-transcribe her work and link it to each photo, I will rename them with the corresponding numbers. It’s a significant undertaking, but I hope to complete it in the future.
In the meantime, the images are in my gallery. If you see a photo you would like, let me know. I would be more than happy to email it to you, although I believe you may be able to download it directly. If you need to request the images from me, just email me, and I will gladly send you the link. Go to the menu and click on “Contact HDCPR.”
